«HOW TO LEARN TO COMMUNICATE»

Since being in a work team is essential to be able to express your ideas and opinions, participants had been taught how to communicate with other people in the workplace, and what the benefits are.

«GYMKHANA IN THE CENTRE OF MADRID»

The idea was to divide the participants into groups of different nationalities, discover the Centre of Madrid with a great “Gymkhana” in which all the clues were related to “how to act as a team”. Through different questions they had to advance until the final clue. The questions were to get to streets, squares, monuments, … they had to take photographs and to get the clues, they were helped by local people, so it is integrated into the citizenship in this activity. They had to follow the order that was given before the start of the event, so each group went in different directions. In the end, they had to find an MFE member to validate their participation. There were two winner teams!

«LEGO SERIOUS PLAY» 

This activity has been done every day. Using some Lego pieces, the youth workers had to construct different things, many of them with an abstract background, letting other participants to guess what they have built.

FEARS AND EXPECTATION» 
In this activity, each participant received post-its (yellow and blue) where they had to write their expectations (yellow ones) and their fears (blue ones) about the project. The post-its were then sticked on a bigger cardboard. By monitoring them daily, it was possible to verify that their expectations had been met and their fears avoided

THE IMPORTANCE OF ROLES»

For this activity, the organizers assigned a specific role set in a company to each participant. These are some of the roles: a company director, a deputy director, interns, and other important members. Once they got their role they had to act in different day-to-day situations.

«HOW TO DEAL WITH DIFFICULT SITUATIONS»

Using the same roles as the activity “The importance of roles”, the youth workers faced a very serious problem that they had to solve together to avoid the company they ‘work’ for to disappear.

MINDFULNESS AND TEAMWORK» 
In this activity, participants were introduced to the mindfulness technique and developed a basic knowledge of the main mindfulness techniques and their application. Thanks to this activity and the knowledge they acquired they will be able to avoid future moments of stress.

«QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: EU QUIZ» 
The youth workers were divided into three groups and, by working as a team, they had to answer to some questions about the European Union, the countries that are part of it, its Institutions and some of the benefits and opportunities that the EU provide to its citizens. After the quiz, a country was assigned to each participant who, not knowing their country, had to guess it through a series of questions to their peers. at the end of the activity, all participants guessed their country, thus recreating the entire European union. At the end of the activity, the pupils realized that they had developed a different view of the countries in the Union.

«GYMKHANA IN THE RETIRO PARK»
As for the Gymkhana in the City Centre of Madrid, the idea was to divide the participants into groups of different nationalities, but this time they had the opportunity to discover the Retiro Park.… they had to take photographs and to get the clues. They had to follow the order that was given before the start of the event, so each group went in different directions. In the end, they had to find an MFE member to validate their participation. There was one winner team!
